After holding the last two Quadrennials at the beaches of Delaware, we are bringing it back to where it all started: Colorado. The Green Box Arts Festival will be happening at this time so there will be plenty of things to see and do, in addition to the amazing hikes and sightseeing that Green Mountain Falls offers year round. We have rented a few houses on Hondo Ave. One will be the central get-together house, but all of the other so far are just a few houses away. For those of you who prefer to have your own space, please go ahead and find your own house, condo or hotel room. If you find something on Airbnb or VRBO, go ahead and book it now and let us know that you are in! If you want to get in on a house that's already rented, likewise let us know. Some of us won't actually check out and leave until Monday the 13th. We will post a calendar of events as we get closer to game time, but you can count on good food, drink, music and activities for all ages. Please use the contact us section (at the bottom of the home page) to get on the list so you will get updates as they are published.
The first reunion was in Colorado, the second and third were at Dewey and Fenwick Beaches. Since a lot of our East Coast family now have older kids who are easier to travel with, we thought it might be time for a bigger trip. The Green Box Arts Festival will provide a lot to see and do. Amazing hikes start right outside the doors of the houses we rented, and Manitou Springs is also a fun town to explore.
That's kind of the point. We have good friends that are part of many circles, and sometimes those circles only overlap a little. If someone invited you, that means they think you are pretty cool and want you to meet some other people who are pretty cool in their own way. We want your kids to get to know each other and maybe they can make new friends that are outside of their normal circles. One weekend every 4 years is not much of a commitment, but we hope you will be looking forward to 2030.
